Adele Drumlevitch
Fall 2004
Adele S.
Drumlevitch was selected as the Cochise County Outstanding Pro
Bono Attorney for
Winter of 2004 by the Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP).
Pro Bono
awards are presented to attorneys who have made an extraordinary
contribution toward making legal services available to low income
residents of
Cochise County.
Drumlevitch has
been incredibly dedicated to the clients of Cochise County,
donating
her time to assist clients with divorce, custody, contract, and in
one
instance, service animal, issues. She also volunteers at the
Advice Only clinic,
which allows clients to meet one-on-one with an
attorney about any civil legal
matter. In regards to her commitment
as a volunteer, Drumlevitch says she
volunteers because, “It’s the
right thing to help people who are in need.”
Drumlevitch
obtained an Associate’s degree from Pima Community College in
1980
and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in 1982. She
received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona College
of Law in
1985. She is currently an attorney with the John F. Kelliher, Jr., P.C. law fir,
which was recognized as the Cochise
County Pro Bono Firm of the Year in
2003. She has previously worked
for the Bays Law Firm, the City of Tucson
Public Defender’s Office
and did research for the University of Arizona’s Court
Interpreter
Programs.
Drumlevitch will
be presented with her award in December, and her picture is on
display in the Bisbee Courthouse lobby. The Volunteer Lawyers
Program thanks
Adele Drumlevitch for her generous gift of time,
talent, and energy on behalf of
