Jillian Aja

Jillian Aja, a third year law student,
graduated from the University of
Arizona
in 2005 with her Bachelor's in Family
Studies. Before
attending law school,
she worked for One-On-One Partners
where she helped to develop a mentoring
program for youth involved in the juvenile
court system. She is currently a member
of the Community Service Board, the Law Women's Association, Phi Alpha
Delta, the Student Bar Association and has volunteered with the VLP's Child
Support Clinic.

Jen Crutchfield

Jen
Crutchfield is in her second year of law
school
at the U of A. She graduated from
Loyola
Marymount University where she
received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology
with a
double minor in Political Science and
Women’s Studies. Jen was active in
community service prior to law school, and
has
continued this tradition through her work
with
the VLP and the law school’s Community
Service Board. She is currently an Ares Fellow (a mentor to
underclassmen
selected by the professors) and a member of the Law Women’s
Association
and
Phi Alpha Delta. Prior to becoming a student coordinator, Jen parti-
cipated in the VLP’s Domestic Relations Clinic where she assisted
many
clients with a wide array of family issues.

Jean West

Jean
West is a third year law student. She
received her bachelor’s
degree in
Music
Education from the University of Illinois and
taught in the
public school
system for two
years before receiving her master’s degree
in social work
from Southern Illinois University.
Jean worked as a therapist at an inpatient
psychiatric hospital in Illinois for five years and
at
Magellan Behavioral Health in Pennsylvania
for three. She and her husband
moved to Arizona in 2004. She was active in
animal rescue organizations prior
to entering law school. In law school, Jean
has been an active member
in Law Women’s Association, Phi Alpha Delta,
Health Law, Student Bar
Association and
LEAD Mentoring. She volunteered
in VLP’s Domestic Relations and Intake
Clinics.

Martha Fenn
Coordinator of
Special Projects and Director of
Community Services

Martha received her Bachelor of Arts degree from
Wellesley
College in 1981, where she majored in
History.
Following her
graduation, she studied
Chinese and taught
English in Taipei,
Taiwan.
Upon returning to the United States, she became
a
high school history
teacher.
Martha taught in
public schools in
Washington, California
and Arizona until 1994, when she
entered law school at
the University of Arizona Rogers College of
Law. While
in law school, Martha
served as a Court
Appointed Special Advocate and
received a Kellogg Child Advocacy Fellowship from the University of Michigan.
Upon her
graduation in 1997, she received the Roger C. Henderson
Distinguished Graduating
Senior Award. For the past eight years Martha
has been the Coordinator of
Special Projects at the Rogers College of Law,
where she directs the law
school Community Service Board, assists with
communications and curricular
affairs,
organizes
student enrichment
programs, and works with Visiting Faculty.

Randi Burnett
Student Coordinator &

Randi is a Southern Arizona native, having spent most her life in
the tiny
town of
Wellton, Arizona, about 30 miles east of Yuma, before moving to
Tucson to
attend law school at the U of A. As the VLP’s Student Coordinator
and Staff
Attorney, Randi manages the student based clinics which gives her
the
opportunity to get to know the over 100 students that volunteer with
the
VLP each
year. She feels that this is one of the highlights of her job, as
she
gets to
watch the students grow and develop over the semester and gain
confidence
in their ability to help people.
