Cerina da Graca
October 2006
Cerina is one of the VLP
Advocates’
most active volunteers.
In addition to
participating in the
Domestic Relations
Clinic, Child Support and
Guardianship
Projects, Cerina interns
at Southern
Arizona Legal Aid and
manages a full
class schedule. Cerina
is thorough
and professional when
meeting with
self represented
litigants. She
treats each individual
with respect and
kindness while remaining
patient and attentive.
Cerina is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated Magna Cum
Laude
from the
University of Arizona with a major in marketing and a minor in
Chinese
and French. While
an undergraduate, Cerina was involved in the Model United
Nations and
received an international business certificate in addition to her
Bachelor of
Science degree upon graduation. Cerina is fluent in Cantonese
and holds dual
U.S. and Hong Kong citizenships.
When she is not in
class or volunteering with the VLP, you may find Cerina
watching Jeopardy,
eating at P.F. Chang’s or Wildflower, or wishing she was
strolling along
the banks of the Seine in Paris – her favorite city.
When asked about her
experience with the VLP, Cerina comments:
“I've really
enjoyed the VLP program because it gives me insight on how
attorneys relate
to clients. I also get a lot of satisfaction knowing that we provide
some support and
relief to people that are often dealing with difficult situations
such as divorce,
paternity, or child support.”
