Juarez
September 2006
Elizabeth Juarez is a
second year law
student who not only
spent her summer
volunteering for the
Child Support Project,
she also interned at
Southern Arizona
Legal Aid assisting staff
attorneys with
ongoing cases. Elizabeth
is a dedicated
and thorough volunteer
who is committed
to serving the most
underprivileged
sections of our
community. Elizabeth
possesses a professional
and empathetic
demeanor. Her manner is
perfect for the
type of volunteer work
she does so well.
Elizabeth is
originally from Chandler, Arizona. She graduated cum laude from
the University of
Arizona with a double major in political science and religious
studies. In
addition to volunteering with the VLP Advocates
and Southern
Arizona Legal Aid,
you may find Elizabeth at her favorite restaurant, Café
Poca Cosa here in
Tucson, or musing about her recent vacation to Maui.
When asked about her
experience with the VLP, Elizabeth comments:
"I
decided to become involved with the VLP Advocates because I wanted
to start
giving back to the
community, especially to the under served. The program has
given me the
opportunity to do this by putting me in direct contact with the
people who need
the most help and have very limited resources. Volunteering
with the VLP
continues to be a rewarding experience.”
