Robert Ferrier has
been selected as the
Outstanding Pro Bono
Attorney of the
Month for April.
Ferrier was chosen to
receive this honor by
the Volunteer Lawyers
Program (VLP). The
Pro Bono Awards are
announced monthly and
highlight an attorney
who has made an
extraordinary contribution
toward making legal
services available to
persons who otherwise
could not afford them.
Rob Ferrier joined
the VLP in November of 2005. Rob assists clients with
matters that involve
debt collection, Indian law, contracts and unfair sales
practices. Although
he has been with the program for a relatively short time, Rob
has become an
invaluable resource. In addition to the clients he has assisted
in
Pima County, Rob has
volunteered to help a client in Santa Cruz County and
another one in Pinal
County. Rob has also been known to call and request that
the VLP send him a
new case.
Originally from
Philadelphia, Rob moved to Arizona 18 years ago. He received
both his
undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Arizona.
Rob is
currently an
associate with Quarles & Brady where he practices in the areas
of
litigation,
bankruptcy and federal Indian law.
Rob wished to
acknowledge the contributions of his colleagues at Quarles &
Brady and said, “I’m
lucky to work in an office where both staff and attorneys
support pro bono
work. The work done on cases that I have received from VLP
is a team effort. I
would not be able to achieve the positive results in these
matters without the
help of my co-workers.”
