» Pima County Outstanding Attorney of the Month

Angela Moore

August 2006

Angela Moore has been selected as the

Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney of the

Month for August. Angela has been a

member of the VLP since 2001.  She

provides direct representation to VLP

clients in the areas of guardianship,

small estates and wills.  Angela has

never declined to accept a case when

called upon by the VLP.  In 2006, Angela

has already accepted three new clients

from the program.  The VLP’s monthly

award is a distinct honor: of the 1100

attorneys who volunteer their time with

VLP, only 12 receive the VLP’s Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney award each

year.

Q & A with Angela Moore:

Where are you from?

I’ve lived in Tucson my whole life, except for when I was away at school.

Where did you go to law school?

Arizona State University, but then I got an LLM in tax, with a focus in estate

planning, from the University of Washington

What is the history of your practice of law?

I practice with my mother, Royanna L. Moore, and my sister, Annalisa Moore

Masunas.  My mother started the practice as a sole practitioner after she got

out of law school in 1981.  Annalisa was 10 and I was seven years old, so we

grew up around her law practice.  Annalisa joined our mother when she

graduated from law school and then I joined them after I got my LLM.  We

love being able to work together!

What are your current practice areas?

My mother and I handle estate planning, including wills, trusts, probate,

guardianship, conservatorship, and trust administration.  Annalisa is a

family law specialist.

Anyone you would like to acknowledge for contributing to your legal

career / pro bono service?

A partial list of people to acknowledge includes the following:  Royanna L.

Moore, Annalisa Moore Masunas, Jeff Jacobson, Paul Bartlett, Jeannette

Geiser, Kate McMillan, Beth Smith, Mark Valentine, and Ilene McCauley.

I have named them for various reasons and appreciate the advice and help

provided at different times over the last six years.
