The VLP’s monthly award is a distinct honor: of the nearly 1100 attorneys who volunteer their time with the SALA VLP, only 12 receive the Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney award each year.

Anna Ceder was selected to receive the Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney of the Month Award for May 2016.  Anna joined the VLP as a law student during her first semester of law school in 2004.  As a student she participated in the VLP’s Child Support Project, and in October of 2005, Anna was recognized as the Outstanding Law Student of the Month.  After being admitted to the bar, Anna immediately joined the VLP as an attorney where she is a frequent participant in the VLP Minor Guardianship Clinics.  Anna often supervises law students as they meet with self-represented clients at their guardianship hearings in Probate Court.  In addition, the VLP has come to rely on Anna to help us train current law students.  The VLP is grateful for Anna’s commitment to the VLP and for her continued friendship.
